About General Affairs

At Stokes we understand that dealing with the affairs of someone who is in care, or who has died, can be very stressful and upsetting. At such a time, a clear head is needed to deal with all the problems that can arise in a way that is both sensitive and effective.

We have developed a team of specialist private client practitioners whose first duty is always to the client. When the client (or their family) contacts us, we will try to meet them as soon as possible (in emergencies, on the same day if we can) identify what is needed and how to take the matter forward. All this in an informal and sympathetic way.

Many of our clients are elderly, or have health problems, so that mobility is restricted. In this case, we can often arrange to meet the client in their own home, or anywhere else that is convenient to them and in our catchment area. Generally, there is no additional charge for this facility except for the travel costs involved.

As the vast majority of our clients agree, it really pays to have Stokes on your side!
