Management of the Affairs of the Elderly and Court of Protection

MANAGEMENT OF THE AFFAIRS OF THE ELDERLY AND COURT OF PROTECTION

There comes a time for all of us when managing our day-to-day financial arrangements becomes troublesome or challenging. If we are fortunate, we will have close relations who will look after such matters for you under a Power of Attorney .  However, if such assistance is not readily available to you, we can help you by looking after those arrangements for you.

Alternatively you may have an elderly or disabled relative who has never made a Power of Attorney and now has failing mental capacity.  You may have been told by a doctor or social worker that he or she needs to have a Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection to act for your relative and handle his or her financial affairs.  We can help with your application to the Court for appointment as a Deputy.
